Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 May 2026
Loopylicious is built by one person, Seb Maynard, and it is designed to leave you alone. There is no account to create, no profile, and no advertising. This page explains the little data the app and this website do touch, and how to switch the optional bits off.
Loopylicious is operated by Seb Tech Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09725783). For data protection law, Seb Tech Limited is the "data controller" for the information described here. You can reach us any time at privacy@loopylicious.com.
The short version
- The app works fully offline. You do not have to sign in or be connected to use it.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not run third-party ad or tracking networks.
- The only data we ever receive is anonymous usage counts (which you can turn off) and anything you choose to send us, such as feedback or a newsletter sign-up.
Anonymous usage analytics
To understand which features get used and which platforms to prioritise, the app can send anonymous usage events: a random install identifier (not tied to you), the platform and app version, and the name of the event (for example "app opened" or "loop recorded"). These events carry no personal information and no recorded audio or MIDI. We do not store your IP address alongside them.
Analytics are optional. You can turn them off at any time in the app's settings, and when they are off nothing is sent.
Website analytics
This website uses cookieless analytics to count page views, see which pages and links people use, and understand roughly where visitors come from (such as a search engine or a link on another site). It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not fingerprint or track you across other websites, so it needs no cookie banner. The data is aggregate and is not used to identify you. We honour your browser's "Do Not Track" setting. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
Feedback you send
If you send feedback from inside the app or by email, we keep your message so we can read it and act on it. If you include an email address, we use it only to reply to you about that feedback. We do not add it to any mailing list unless you ask us to.
Newsletter
If you choose to sign up for occasional product updates, we store the email address you give us for that single purpose. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.
Buying Loopylicious
Purchases are handled by our payment provider (Gumroad) or, on mobile, by the platform's in-app purchase system (Google Play, and Apple in future). Those providers process your payment details under their own privacy policies; we never see or store your full card details. We receive only what we need to issue and validate your license.
Your license
Your Universal License is a signed token that the app can verify offline. Activating it may record a count of how many devices have used it, to keep things fair, but this does not require an account or reveal your identity.
Legal basis and how long we keep things
Under UK data protection law we need a lawful basis for using your information. We rely on your consent for optional analytics and for the newsletter (you can withdraw it at any time). We rely on our legitimate interests, and on performing our agreement with you, to read and act on feedback you send and to issue and validate your licence.
We keep things only as long as they are useful: feedback for as long as it helps us improve the app, your newsletter address until you unsubscribe, and licence records for as long as your licence is valid. Analytics are stored in aggregate and are not tied to you.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To do any of these, email privacy@loopylicious.com and we will sort it out.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can also complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
Children
Loopylicious is a music tool for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated. Material changes will be noted on the site.
